Privacy policy
Short version: we keep as little as we can. Playing needs no account, and an account needs only a name and a password.
What stays on your device
Your progress, settings and today's answers are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device unless you post a score or sign up.
Leaderboards
When you finish a ranked game we store a random player ID, your chosen name, your flag, your score and, for daily dives, your answers, so leaderboards and friends can show them.
Optional accounts
An account stores your name, your game progress and the names of friends you add. Your password never reaches us: your device turns it into a scrambled key, and we keep only a salted hash of that key. We don't ask for an email address.
Hosting and security
The game runs on our own server in the United States, behind Cloudflare, which speeds up delivery and blocks abuse. Both handle IP addresses to deliver pages and stop abuse; we don't store your IP address with your scores or your account.
Cookies and ads
We don't set cookies. If we show ads in the future, our ad partner may use cookies to show and measure them; visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent first, and you'll be able to turn off personalised ads.
Deleting your data
Sign in, open Settings and choose “Delete account” to remove your account, progress, friends and scores for good. To clear this device, use “Reset all progress on this device” in Settings.
Children
The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
